Around
the Globe merchandising was established by Greg Swaim as a second career
after spending 30 years in the automotive industry of a fortune 100 company.
During those 30 years he worked thru the ranks from factory floor into
management as a purchasing agent and customer contact with the responsibility
for procuring the needed finished parts for the "Big 3" automotive
manufactures.
Upon early retirement at age 48, he became acquainted with one of the
major hardware independent suppliers and accepted the challenge of helping
them to convert the independent hardware stores to be able to purchase
their ware's from them.
Thru this he learned the process of matching and converting like products,
to help the independent stores make a smooth transition from one supplier
to the next!
Drawing on his past
experience in the automotive field, and in inventory control, he also
was an asset in helping bring many stores online to have the capability
to order direct from warehouse thru CS 2000 audit inventory system.
